With the 2024 NFL season moving into its late phase and teams fighting for top playoff positioning, a few teams have emerged as the co-favorites to win this season’s Super Bowl championship, even if none of them are certifiably great.
But as usual, there are also some dark horse teams that could have some type of chance at challenging for this season’s Super Bowl championship or at least making some serious noise in the playoffs.
On FanDuel TV, Meghan Payton gave her top-five underrated teams in the NFL, and the Green Bay Packers topped her list.

The Packers became the darlings of the national media after they finished last season with a flurry and nearly reached the NFC Championship Game, but they got off to a rocky start this year by winning just two of their first four games.
It seems ludicrous to think of a 7-3 team such as the Packers as being underrated, but they have struggled to come up with their last three wins, two of which have come against the horrible Jacksonville Jaguars and the mediocre Chicago Bears.
Payton had the Arizona Cardinals at No. 2, and they’re a team that sits in first place in the NFC West and is currently on a four-game winning streak.
At No. 3 are the Denver Broncos, who have been up and down this season but may have found their next franchise quarterback in rookie Bo Nix.
With a 6-5 record, they would make the playoffs if the regular season ended today.
The Seattle Seahawks took the No. 4 spot on Payton’s list, and they’re looking pesky after a clutch win over the San Francisco 49ers last weekend.
Payton rounded out her list with the Miami Dolphins, who now have a healthy Tua Tagovailoa and have gotten their offense back on track ever since he returned from the third diagnosed concussion.
