The New York Jets’ 2024 NFL season couldn’t be going any worse, as not only are they well out of the playoff picture, but the future of their roster is in serious flux.
Aaron Rodgers returned healthy after spending the past year tending to his torn Achilles, but the quarterback has been unable to carry the offense.
Even after New York signed and traded for multiple former teammates, Rodgers has looked like a shell of himself, and it appears that he and the Jets could be heading for a divorce.
Reports are circulating that Rodgers could be benched or placed on IR in the coming weeks, a sign that the partnership has run its course.
The Jets will have to deal with yet another embarrassing situation if Rodgers doesn’t play for them next season, though fans are already beginning to speculate on which team he’ll play for.

Out of all the options suggested, the Las Vegas Raiders might make the most sense as they have been desperate for a starting quarterback and Rodgers is from the West Coast.
Meanwhile, the New York Giants could make some sense, though they’re heading for a top pick and can likely find a new QB in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans make sense on paper, though geographically they don’t seem like locations where Rodgers would prefer to play.
For now, it’ll be interesting to see how Rodgers’ situation with the Jets plays out over the rest of the season.
