The Charlotte Hornets need LaMelo Ball to be at his best.
Unfortunately, even when that’s the case, Charles Lee’s team doesn’t often get wins.
That was the case again on Saturday night.
The Milwaukee Bucks got back at the Hornets after a controversial loss, taking them down 125-119.
The game was more lopsided than one might tell from the final score, but Ball kept it close down the stretch.
As Bleacher Report on X pointed out, he scored a career-high 50 points, adding ten assists and six three-pointers.

Ball had the rock in his hands on almost every possession, as he took 38 shots and still managed to hand out ten assists.
His scoring prowess and flashy passes have always turned heads, but his basketball IQ, efficiency, and decision-making have often left much to be desired.
He’s a high-volume scorer who will constantly make the highlight reels, but that doesn’t necessarily translate into winning basketball.
Also, with the never-ending injury woes and some reports of his priorities off the court, the Hornets will have to make a tough call sooner rather than later.
