When it rains, it pours for the San Francisco 49ers.
Kyle Shanahan’s team hasn’t been able to catch a break this season.
They’ve struggled with injuries more than most teams in the league.
And with Brandon Aiyuk out for the season, their offense suffered another blow.
Brock Purdy has already been ruled out of their game with the Green Bay Packers.
Fortunately for them, it seems like he won’t be out for long.
According to a report by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the former Mr. Irrelevant has no structural damage in his shoulder.

He hasn’t been able to do much in practice, and his status to face the Buffalo Bills next week is still up in the air, but that’s great news nonetheless.
The Niners were expected to be the strongest powerhouse in the NFC this season.
They dominated from start to finish last year, and they were pretty close to taking down Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
Fast forward to today, and they’re sitting on a 5-5 record and second place in the NFC West Division.
Most of their key players have missed time due to various ailments, and this has perhaps been Coach Shanahan’s most challenging obstacle since he took over the team.
Beating the Packers with Brandon Allen won’t be easy, but they’ve had Matt LaFleur’s team number in the past, and a win on Sunday would give them a massive break while Purdy works his way back to the field.
