Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders put forth another strong performance on Saturday against Kansas.
Even though his Buffaloes lost 37-21, Sanders went 23-for-29 for 266 yards and three touchdowns.
One of the unfortunate highlight plays of the game was when a Kansas defender committed what should have been a roughing the passer penalty and wiped Sanders out at the knees after a throw rolling out to his left with a hit that generated plenty of discussion afterward.

Sanders was lucky the hit didn’t come when he had a planted leg because that would have caused a potential torn ACL.
He took the hit in stride and got right back up after a few seconds on the ground, and it was perhaps the best example of Sanders’ toughness all season.
The criticism surrounding the potential No. 1 pick this year has largely been related to the intangibles, such as when he threw his offensive line under the bus earlier in the year following a loss or the charade surrounding him due to his father being such a high-profile name who has already hinted at angling Shedeur to specific landing spots in the draft.
On the field, there is no doubting his ability or toughness, and we’re all thankful that big hit went about as well as it could have gone for him.
