On Sunday, heading into their matchup against the division-rival Miami Dolphins, the New England Patriots hoped to make it three wins in five weeks and take a step forward rather than two steps back in their attempts to get back on track as a force to be reckoned with in the AFC.
Unfortunately, with star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa returning to form as one of the better players in the league at his position, the Patriots didn’t stand a chance, as the Dolphins crushed the Patriots in Miami.
After the game, rookie quarterback Drake Maye spoke to the media and vented his frustration with losing throughout his first season in the NFL with the storied franchise.
Maye talked about his hatred for losing and how he told his teammates to remember how it feels to lose like this via Patriots on CLNS Media.
“I hate losing, I really like to win … told some of guys just remember this feeling,” Maye said.

With the Patriots rebuilding and Maye thrust into the starting role because veteran Jacoby Brissett wasn’t cutting it, the team struggling the way they’ve been this year comes as no surprise.
However, Maye has shown a lot of promise as this team’s new franchise player, as he has the potential to become a star in this league in the near future, as long as the Patriots brass surround him with the talent that he needs to succeed on the offensive side of the football while also having a formidable defense.
