The New York Giants’ season continues to unravel at an alarming pace.
In a week that began with the departure of their five-year starter Daniel Jones, the organization now faces even deeper turbulence.
The Week 12 blowout loss has only intensified speculation about head coach Brian Daboll’s future, as his team appears to have lost its competitive edge.
The aftermath of Sunday’s defeat revealed cracks that run deeper than just the scoreboard.
Veterans openly criticized the team’s lackluster performance, but it was rookie sensation Malik Nabers who delivered the most pointed message about the current state of affairs.
“I go out there the first, second quarter, don’t get the ball, started getting targets at the end. I mean, I can’t do nothing,” Nabers vented to reporters, his frustration evident as he aggressively chewed gum.
“I started getting the ball when it was 30-0. What do you want me to do?”

When pressed about his lack of involvement in the first half, Nabers’ response was telling.
“I don’t know…talk to Dabes [head coach Brian Daboll] about that.”
This display of internal discord carries particular weight given owner John Mara’s previous endorsement of Daboll.
The tension becomes even more perplexing when considering Nabers’ impact when finally utilized.
The 2024 first-round pick managed to secure six catches for 64 yards on nine targets, with most of his production coming in the second half.
Despite missing three games this season, Nabers leads the team across all receiving categories – 61 receptions, 607 yards, and three touchdowns.
The growing disconnect between coaching decisions and player utilization paints a troubling picture for a Giants team that seems to be spiraling toward a major organizational shake-up.
With each passing week, the pressure mounts on Daboll to justify his approach or face the consequences of a season gone awry.
