FRIENDS has been the cornerstone of the sitcom genre but watching it now won’t be the same after the death of Matthew Perry. The actor passed away from a Ketamine overdose, but upon investigation, five people were arrested including his local physician and live-in assistant. Among the five people there was Erik Fleming as well who was listed as the late actor’s acquaintance.
And in this investigation, he was presented as a middleman in the entire Ketamine scheme. But before this controversy, Fleming also had a brief Hollywood career and directed a movie featuring the likes of Scarlett Johansson and Eva Mendes.

Matthew Perry‘s death was quickly embroiled in scandal when the authorities charged five people for being linked to his Ketamine overdose. Things became even more suspicious when his live-in assistant, as well as two doctors and a drug dealer nicknamed “Ketamine Queen” were arrested.
Among these, there was one named Erik Fleming as well who was listed as the middleman in the entire scandal. Amid this, Fleming also has some Hollywood roots and has worked as a director in the industry. He also worked on projects such as Tyrone and the reality show The Surreal Life. Despite having a good career, he got into Ketamine distribution and used to organize drug sales between suppliers and buyers, including Perry’s live in assistant.
Just days before the actor’s overdose, he apparently delivered 50 vials of Ketamine, half of which were sold shortly before the tragedy. After his arrest, Fleming pled guilty to drug conspiracy charges and now faces up to 25 years in prison.

His toxicology reports revealed acute use of Ketamine, alongside other complications such as drowning and coronary artery disease. However, they ruled his passing as an accident, but later an investigation was launched for the same and several arrests were made as well.
Despite this, millions of FRIENDS fans will forever cherish the everlasting legacy that the actor has left behind, especially his contribution in the sitcom genre.
