The New York Jets are having another forgettable season, even though they were able to finally get Aaron Rodgers back under center after he missed the entire 2023 campaign with a torn Achilles tendon.
The four-time NFL MVP hasn’t played well since returning to the field, which is not ideal for the Jets, considering they had Super Bowl aspirations because of the quarterback’s arrival.
With Rodgers aging and clearly not the player he once was, there’s been a lot of speculation about what the immediate future holds for him, as some believe he could be released by the Jets.
Rodgers recently gave some insight into his thought process about his future in the NFL.
“I feel like I’ve been kind of year to year,” Rodgers said on “The Pat McAfee Show.” “… When you’re 40 going on 41 you’re obviously at the end of your career. … If it’s New York they have to want me to be here … and then body-wise I gotta see how I’m feeling.”

Unfortunately for Rodgers, it may not be up to him how much longer he plays for the Jets if the team decides to go in a different direction with a new general manager and head coach.
The real question will be if the Jets do move on from the veteran, will he try to sign with another team or call it a career.
