XM4 in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is right now the most popular weapon, without any doubt. The game features an array of assault rifles, but this gun right here has become everyone’s favorite. However, things were going pretty well until the Season 1 update brought the Buffer Weight Stock, with which things are going out of hand now.
The XM4 has now become a meta with the new stock. This new attachment provides laser-like long-range spray, which can put even the sniper rifles into shame. However, there is another assault rifle that can stand above all, becoming the meta-breaker in the game.
The Model L Assault Rifle Is an Underrated Beast in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
One of Black Ops 6‘s more powerful assault rifles is the Model L. Each round has a significant punch and little damage falloff, despite not firing very quickly. With the correct add-ons, this weapon can become a highly accurate AR with almost no recoil or three-tap players from all over the map.
The goal of this build is to make the gun as accurate as possible because the Model L has a moderate amount of recoil but hits like a truck. To cut all recoil by about 10%, the best bet is the Recoil Springs. Because of this, vertical recoil is much easier to control, but horizontal recoil deviation persists. Thankfully, we can use a Vertical Foregrip to correct this. Together, the two attachments give this gun almost no recoil.
Since the Model L doesn’t have good iron sights, you should use any optic as your third attachment, ideally the Volzhiskiy Reflex sight. Use a suppressor to avoid detection by the enemy and the Quickdraw Grip for a powerful ADS boost. Replace the suppressor with a larger magazine if you hate reloading.
Because of Ghost’s strength, the Recon specialty should ideally be used in conjunction with any suppressed weapon. You won’t show up on the enemy radar as long as you’re moving. If you want to play one-life modes or flank, ninja is also a good choice. If not, we suggest using a flak jacket as your Perk Greed option and a blue perk in column two.
Despite the Model L being a great option in Black Ops 6 and Warzone, players don’t seem to be using any other gun than the XM4, with the Buffer Weight Stock attached to it.
Why Has the XM4+Buffer Weight Stock Become a Meta?
The XM4 has been the go-to assault rifle in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone since its inclusion in Season 1. Its versatility and smooth recoil have made it a dangerous foe, whether traversing the wide open spaces of Urzikstan or the tight lanes of multiplayer.
It has now been further enhanced by the Buffer Weight Stock, which was awarded to all players following the community’s achievement of 8 billion kills during the Hit List event.
This new stock offers substantial improvements in both horizontal and vertical recoil control at the cost of some ADS and movement speed. It is compatible with the DM-10 Marksman Rifle and the XMG LMG, but it performs best on the XM4.
Although it greatly increases accuracy, the benefits of this specific attachment vary slightly depending on which of the three weapons you use it on. XM4 and XMG recoil control is significantly enhanced by the Buffer Weight Stock in both vertical and horizontal directions. Additionally, compared to the DM10, the Stock enhances vertical and horizontal recoil control, stabilizes aim idle sway, and improves aim walking steadiness.
Which assault rifle do you use in Black Ops 6 and Warzone? Don’t lie, we both know it’s the XM4 with the new stock attached to it.
