Things definitely haven’t gone as planned for the New York Jets during the 2024 NFL season, as the team hasn’t been able to put it together on the field, even with a healthy Aaron Rodgers under center.

As a result of struggling yet again this year, the franchise made some drastic changes during the regular season by firing head coach Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas.

Despite acquiring wide receiver Davante Adams in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders and hoping Rodgers could turn things around, the Jets have been stuck with similar results as last year.

As the Jets play out the rest of this season, the speculation around the team revolves around whether they want to keep Rodgers, and who will be the next head coach and general manager.

Former NFL quarterback Chris Simms said he believes the Jets should go after former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel to be Saleh’s successor.

“If I’m the New York Jets, I am calling Mike Vrabel. … Mike Vrabel’s made for New York. He’s Bill Parcells Jr.,” Simms said on “The Dan Patrick Show.”

Only time will tell what happens with the Jets during the offseason, as there’s a chance they could go all out one more time to try to make it work with Rodgers by bringing in a substantial upgrade at head coach with Vrabel.

However, there are a lot of moving parts, and anything can happen from here on out, so there’s no telling what decisions will be made and what impact they will have on the franchise moving forward.
