AN opening day clash with Oldham, a summer trip to Toulouse and a final day showdown with Batley Bulldogs are all on the cards for York Knights in the 2025 Betfred Championship season.

As revealed this morning, Mark Applegarth’s side will travel to newly promoted Oldham on the opening day of the campaign on February 16 before hosting Toulouse Olympique in their first home fixture on February 23.

March’s only home game sees the Knights take on Halifax Panthers before they head on the road to Batley Bulldogs and Barrow Raiders.

They will return to the LNER Community Stadium against Doncaster on April 13 before bidding to make it back-to-back wins at Featherstone Rovers and closing out the month at home to Widnes Vikings.

A trip to London Broncos – back in the Championship after a sole top-flight season – beckons in May, as does a home clash with Hunslet, who progressed through the Betfred League One play-offs to earn their spot in the division with a thrilling victory against Swinton Lions.

Just a month separates both league fixtures against Sheffield Eagles, with trips to Bradford Bulls and Widnes, and a home game against Featherstone in between.

Oldham return to the city for the first time since March’s 1895 Cup quarter-final defeat on August 3 before York again head on the road to Hunslet.

The Knights’ penultimate home fixture pits them against the Broncos on August 17 before a summer trip to the south of France again awaits the following week.

They will begin the final month of the season at Doncaster, then rounding off their campaign at home to Batley.
