Manchester United are being linked with a new forward and a centre-back ahead of the January transfer window.
United have just a few weeks to wait before the New Year where they will be able to go into the transfer market for new signings. Ruben Amorim is officially the new head coach at Old Trafford and it remains to be seen if any new additions will be made to the squad this winter.
Amorim’s time as the club’s new boss began on Sunday when United were held to a 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town in the Premier League. The Reds will now prepare to face Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League on Thursday night before returning to top-flight action against Everton next Sunday.

Here, MEN Sport takes a look at some of the latest United transfer news and gossip that have generated headlines over the last 24 hours. United are continuing to be linked with a move for Sporting Lisbon star Geovany Quenda.
According to Portuguese news outlet A Bola, the Reds have intensified their interest in signing the 17-year-old forward ahead of the transfer window. The report claims that United already made an initial approach over the future of Quenda in October, before appointing Amorim as head coach.
It has been reported that United are ready to make an offer worth €60million (£50million) to sign the teenager. Quenda has a €100million (£83.5million) release clause in his contract that he extended earlier this year which runs until 2027.
The Manchester Evening News reported last week that Sporting are expecting United to make a move to sign Quenda in the near future. Elsewhere, United are reportedly interested in signing Quenda’s Sporting teammate, Ousmane Diomande.
According to Caught Offside, Amorim is determined to reunite with the defender at Old Trafford. The article claims that United will face competition from Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal for the signing of Diomande.
It has been claimed that Diomande has a €80million (£66.8million) release clause in his contract, which United would be reluctant to pay.
