Multiple generations of football fans have known the New England Patriots as a mighty dynastic franchise that almost always finds a way to be in the discussion as a Super Bowl contender, or at least competitive in the playoffs.
But since legendary quarterback Tom Brady left following the 2019 season, the Patriots have been in the wilderness, and over the last year or two, their roster has been particularly terrible.
So far this season, they have a 3-9 record, and fans may feel they should tank and increase their chances of landing another future star in the 2025 NFL Draft.
But for now, New England is a horrendous team, evidenced by the fact it has made some dubious history, according to 95.8 The Sports Hub.
“The Patriots rank dead last 32/32 in team DVOA. The last time the Patriots ranked last in team DVOA was week 7 of 1993,” Savage Sports wrote on X.

While New England could possibly have their next franchise QB in rookie Drake Maye, they have holes at just about every other position.
They have arguably the worst offensive line in the NFL, no viable threats at wide receiver, and plenty of needs on defense.
Many people have blamed former head coach Bill Belichick for making poor personnel moves that left the team bereft of serviceable players.
On the bright side, the Patriots will almost certainly have another very high draft pick in 2025, which means they could continue to upgrade their roster and find their way out of the woods.
