The Dallas Cowboys are headed for a disappointing end to the 2024 NFL season if things continue to trend in the direction they are going, as the squad isn’t close to what it was last season.
Dallas will embark on the final stretch without quarterback Dak Prescott, who is out for the season with a hamstring injury, which doesn’t bode well for success the rest of the way, even though they pulled off an upset against the division-rival Washington Commanders in Week 12 with Cooper Rush under center.
With the Cowboys limping to the finish line, there’s a chance that there could be some drastic changes in Dallas during the offseason, with all eyes on head coach Mike McCarthy.
Media personality Skip Bayless, a diehard Cowboys fan, recently shared his two cents about his team.
“In the end, I do not trust Mike McCarthy,” Bayless said, via The Skip Bayless Show. “And my worst nightmare would be having to go into next year with Dak Prescott at quarterback and Mike McCarthy back as the head coach.”

At this point, especially with owner Jerry Jones being unpredictable in these situations, there’s no telling what the Cowboys will do.
It’ll be an interesting offseason, to say the least, for Dallas, especially if Jones decides to reload with another quarterback and or head coach.
