Acaden Lewis is ready to make his college decision. Now, a date has been finalized.
The 6-foot-4, 185-pound point guard from Sidwell Friends School (Washington, DC) will announce his commitment on November 2, he tells KSR+. Lewis is choosing between Kentucky, Duke, and UConn.
Lewis is ranked by the On3 Industry Ranking as the No. 5 point guard and No. 30 overall prospect in the nation. He is ranked by On3 as the No. 8 point guard and the No. 55 overall prospect in the 2025 class.
Acaden Lewis Recaps Kentucky Official Visit
Kentucky got the final official visit for Acaden Lewis heading into his commitment. Lewis visited Kentucky from Oct. 10-12, attending Big Blue Madness.
“They’re great people and really genuine,” he said. “They have a lot of knowledge with Coach [Alvin] Brooks and Coach [Jason] Hart, who have had a lot of great guards in the past. [Mark] Pope is a super cool dude. I met his wife and everyone. It’s a great staff and a great environment.”
Lewis told KSR+ after his visit that he would consider a number of different factors in his decision. Those include who’s coming back, who’s already there, who each school is still pursuing, and his relationship with the coaching staff.
The Potential of Playing Next to Jasper Johnson
If Kentucky is able to land a commitment from Acaden Lewis, the Cats will have a formidable 2025 backcourt of Lewis and five-star guard Jasper Johnson. It’s something that Lewis wasn’t sure was a possibility over the summer.
“I thought it was me or him, like if he committed, they wouldn’t take me anymore or vice versa,” Lewis said in September. “I think I could play well with him, to be honest.”
When Johnson and Lewis played together at the Damian Lillard Formula Zero Camp in Phoenix in August, both players saw the vision of playing alongside each other. Lewis said they played together and “it was seamless.”
“We passed the ball. Neither of us was a ball hog,” Lewis said. “We got our shots up and created for each other. We work really well off of each other. It’s really hard to guard two lefties.”
