The Irish dairy sector has been on an exciting roller-coaster ride since the abolition of milk quotas. There have been some massive highs as the sector embarked on what initially looked like an upward-only trajectory, but recent years have seen a number of dips.

From April 1, 2015, milk producers were free to grow their businesses to maximise the potential of their farm and management skills.
