Any lingering rain will clear this morning and give way to a dry day with sunshine, Met Éireann has said.
Rain or drizzle in the midlands and southeast of the country will clear ahead of a bright day with sunny spells, staying mostly dry with a chance of some light, isolated showers.
Highest temperatures today will range from 13 to 16 degrees in moderate to fresh northerly winds.

It will stay dry and clear tonight but some mist or fog may arrive in the west and southwest, with lows of 3 to 7 degrees, slightly milder near the east coast with lows of 8 to 11 degrees.
Dry and bright conditions will continue into Wednesday with a mixture of sunny spells and some cloud. There may be one or two passing showers and highest temperatures will again be between 13 and 16 degrees.
The outlook for the rest of the week is good in the coming days, though it is expected to become more unsettled as we get closer to the weekend.
Wednesday night will remain dry and clear, with another largely dry day forecast for Thursday with a mix of cloud and sunny spells and the chance of some showers in the south and southwest. Highest temperatures on Thursday will be between 14 and 17 degrees.
Some patchy rain and drizzle is set to move in from the Atlantic overnight on Thursday, affecting the south, west and northwest but staying dry elsewhere.
More unsettled weather will start to arrive from Friday when it will turn mild and breezy with scattered rain and drizzle, though the amount of rain will be small and it may stay dry in the east and northeast.
Saturday will be humid and breezy with showery outbreaks of rain that will spread north over the country with a strong, gusty southerly breeze, while it will remain breezy on Sunday with a mix of rain and sunshine.
