The career of NBA big man Robert Williams has been filled with a lot of injuries and absences from the court, but he still holds value on the trade market.

In fact, according to Brett Siegel, via NBACentral, three teams are looking to sign Williams.

Siegel wrote:

“…Out of the three big men, Williams is expected to hold the biggest market. The Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans, and Sacramento Kings have held interest in the Portland Trail Blazers’ big man dating back to the offseason.”

So the Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans, or Sacramento Kings might take a run at trading for the big man, who is averaging 10.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.

Now in his second season with the Portland Trail Blazers, Williams has only played in five games.

Last season, injuries prevented him from playing in all but six games for the entire year.

Even before he came to Portland, injuries slowed Williams down during his years with the Boston Celtics.

He is a profoundly talented big man, but it seems he can’t stay healthy for very long, which is obviously very concerning.

That means that a trade for Williams might not be jaw-dropping and could consist of draft picks and not big-name, win-now talent.

The three teams in this report have all been looking for frontcourt help, so Williams could be a great assistance to any of them.

It’s just a matter of what they are willing to offer to the Trail Blazers for him.
