Ben Simmons’ NBA career has been filled with an awful lot of drama.
Because of his multiple injuries and his past with the Philadelphia 76ers, Simmons has been in the middle of multiple controversies and negative headlines.
On Friday night, his Brooklyn Nets will return to Philadelphia to play the 76ers and fans will surely let their voices be heard.
Simmons isn’t afraid of the boos and actually looks forward to them.
Speaking with Brian Lewis of the New York Post, Simmons said:
“Yeah I also love that too. I love being in arenas where it’s loud and people are booing and all that stuff. So it comes with the game. It’s a part of it. And I love it.”

Simmons has been back to Philadelphia a few times since his major fallout with the team.
After being drafted by the 76ers, things soured between Simmons and the team after several seasons.
That led to him holding out and eventually being traded to the Nets.
For the first time in years, the Nets are actually playing better than the Sixers and they have a good shot at winning on Friday night.
The Nets are the eighth team in the East with a 6-9 record, and the 76ers are the worst in the league with their 2-12 record.
That means Philadelphia fans might be booing their own team before they come after Simmons.
Simmons has only won a single game against the 76ers since cutting ties with the team.
Will he get his second win against them on Friday night?
