Even after Aaron Rodgers’ first season with the New York Jets ended almost immediately when he tore his Achilles during their first offensive series of 2023, plenty of people hyped them up coming into this season and felt they could reach the Super Bowl.
Fast-forward a few months, and they find themselves with a 3-8 record.
There are now rumors that Rodgers could be wearing a different uniform next September.
Joy Taylor said on Fox Sports 1’s “Speak” that it feels like it is the end for Rodgers, given that he suffered arguably the worst injury an athlete could have and that he’s clearly in decline.

On paper, the Jets have plenty of talent, but that talent hasn’t resulted in the number of wins one would expect.
Rodgers started to show signs of decline in 2022, his last year with the Green Bay Packers.
While there was lots of hype surrounding New York going into last season, some sounded the alarm and knew that trading for Rodgers was very risky.
He’s now nearing his 41st birthday, and while he has had a few solid or even good performances this year, he’s not even close to the player he was for so long in Green Bay.
This season has devolved into controversy for the Jets, as they fired Robert Saleh, who was their head coach since 2021, and Joe Douglas, who had been their general manager starting in 2019.
The organization now finds itself in a familiar place of frustration, desperation, and emptiness, and there is no easy way out of the ditch it has created for itself.
