The Philadelphia Eagles entered the season with a huge question mark above their heads.
There was talk that head coach Nick Sirianni was on the hot seat, and a slow start to the campaign didn’t help his case.
Now, with six wins in a row, the Eagles look like a Super Bowl contender again.
NFL analyst Greg Cosell recently credited defensive coordinator Vic Fangio and his unit for the turnaround.
“Their defense has been unbelievable the last six weeks. To me, it’s all in the nuance and the details of the Vic Fangio scheme,” Cosell said on “The Ross Tucker Podcast.”
“(The Eagles) defense has been unbelievable the last six weeks. And to me, it’s all in the nuance and the details of the Vic Fangio scheme.”

Cosell said that as much as guys like Jalen Carter are playing great, and the amount of talent to work with, Fangio deserves credit for his attention to detail.
The Eagles struggled mightily on defense last season, so they turned to Fangio this year.
He reportedly didn’t see eye-to-eye with some Miami Dolphins players during his time with them, but it seems like he was just what the Eagles needed to live up to their potential.
There’s still plenty of football to be played this season, and some still have valid reasons to be worried about Sirianni’s decision-making, clock management and other aspects of his personality.
But with the Eagles playing this kind of defense, and running back Saquon Barkley wreaking havoc on offense, Sirianni will have to fail a lot to let down the fans this season.
