L’Jarius Sneed’s move to the Tennessee Titans this offseason from the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs came with high expectations and a lucrative contract.
His impact, however, has fallen short of expectations.
In five games, Sneed has managed 23 total tackles and has yet to record his first interception of the season.
Now, his challenging campaign has taken another hit.
“Titans officially placed CB L’Jarius Sneed, who has missed the last five games with a quad injury, on injured reserve,” ESPN insider Adam Schefter wrote on X.

There is some positive news for Titans supporters, though. Head coach Brian Callahan said Sneed could make a return before the season concludes.
The team plans to elevate defensive back Daryl Worley from the practice squad for its Week 12 matchup against the Houston Texans.
The Titans’ investment in Sneed was substantial, sending a 2025 third-round pick and a 2024 seventh-round selection to the Chiefs in exchange for Sneed and a seventh-round pick.
Sneed then secured a four-year, $76.4 million contract.
The Titans also strengthened their cornerback position by signing Chidobe Awuzie to a three-year deal during free agency.
Unfortunately, Awuzie suffered a groin injury and landed on injured reserve.
Despite limited on-field contributions due to injury, Sneed has remained actively involved off the field.
The veteran reportedly has taken on a mentorship role, sharing his knowledge and insights with younger players during team meetings.
