Evan Peters has joined the cast for The Beauty, reuniting him with Monster and American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy.
As per Deadline, Peters – who starred in Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, the first season of the anthology show – has signed up for Murphy’s latest project for FX, which is based on Jeremy Haun and Jason A Hurley’s comic series.
Though plot details remain scarce, Peters will be joined by some big names for the 11-part series, with Anthony Ramos, Jeremy Pope and Ashton Kutcher all signing up. Additionally, Peters, Ramos and Pope all serve as executive producers.

As per Image Comics, the logline for Haun and Hurley’s The Beauty reads: “Modern society is obsessed with outward beauty. What if there was a way to guarantee you could become more and more beautiful every day? What if it was a sexually transmitted disease?
“In the world of The Beauty, physical perfection is attainable. The vast majority of the population has taken advantage of it, but Detectives Drew Foster and Kara Vaughn will soon discover it comes at a terrible price.”
Specific character details are yet to be revealed, though Kutcher – who appeared on That ’70s Show – is said to be playing a tech billionaire. The report also states that the search for a female lead is under way, with the intention being to play Detective Vaughn.

Despite the controversy surrounding Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Peters’ performance as the titular serial killer earned wide acclaim, with the anthology show returning last month with Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.
Like its predecessor, the series was faced with controversy following its depiction of the central characters, with Murphy responding by saying the creative crew had an “obligation as storytellers” to cover many “perspectives” from the case.
The Beauty has no release date. Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story and Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story stream on Netflix.
