It’s never a good thing when an NFL team starts generating more headlines for what’s happening off the field or in the locker room than on the gridiron, but during a long season when the losses start piling up, that’s often the case.
One big-market team is going through this, and one analyst recently compared the team to a “reality show.”
On the NFL pregame show on CBS Sunday morning, Kyle Long and Brock Vereen discussed the current state of the 3-7 Dallas Cowboys, and Vereen said this team is a reality TV show, noting, “When you have public back-and-forths with your star players in training camp, that’s an issue. You can’t turn around and be upset with what Micah Parsons says about your head coach because that’s the precedence that’s been set. We’re just saying whatever because this is one big podcast of a football team.”

Vereen also said that Dallas operated like 12-win seasons just grow on trees after winning 12 games over each of the last three years.
He cited the team’s assumption that the running back room would be fine after losing Tony Pollard in free agency and neglecting to give Derrick Henry a call.
It’s a harsh evaluation, but at 3-7 and with all the discussions surrounding this team, most would likely agree with Vereen’s opinion.
The entire season started on the wrong foot with head coach Mike McCarthy and quarterback Dak Prescott being dragged through the mud by Jerry Jones and the media due to their expiring contracts.
At the same time, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb also had to fight for a new deal publicly.
Parsons seems to bash his team on his podcast every week, and the Cowboys still haven’t won a home game this year.
