Whether it’s the injuries or if he wants to extend his stay on a small-market team, even the fans have often had second thoughts about his future with the organization.
Brandon Miller looks like a beacon of light for this ever-struggling team.
The former No. 2 pick had some impressive performances as a rookie, and while the season was full of ups and downs, that’s what one would expect from a first-year player.
Now, in his second season, the Alabama product is taking his game to a whole new level.
As StatMuse on X pointed out, the 22-year-old budding star has been on an absolute tear lately, scoring 29, 38, and 32 points in his last three games.

He’s also excelled from beyond the arc, logging five, eight, and six three-pointers.
Scouts had some doubts about Miller’s maturity, but he’s been focused solely on basketball since entering the league.
He often drew comparisons to Paul George, and you can definitely see the resemblance in their games.
He still needs to bulk up a little and be more physical on the defensive end of the floor, but he’s been deadly in passing games, even logging games with three or four steals.
Miller has the potential to be one of the best three-level scorers in the game, and while the Hornets are still a ways away, it’s encouraging to see him take a leap.
