The Carolina Panthers put up quite a fight on Sunday while playing host to the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Although the 2024 NFL season is more or less over for the Panthers in terms of competing for a playoff spot in the NFC, coming into this game with a record of 3-7, Carolina had a lot of fight in them in Week 12 against a team that has only lost one game all season long.

Unfortunately, in the end, the Chiefs did what the Chiefs do, which is win games on a weekly basis, with one of the best quarterbacks in the league leading the way in Patrick Mahomes.

Along with losing for the eighth time during the 2024 campaign, the Panthers saw tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders go down with a nasty injury, which resulted in him being stretchered off the field.

Obviously, football is a brutal sport that can result in injuries that put players in the hospital like this one, even though the league has tried to make the game safer and safer from year to year.

Despite the league’s best efforts to make the game safer, these injuries still happen on a weekly basis, which can jeopardize a player’s health in the short-term as well as down the road in their life after football.

Hopefully, for Sanders’ sake, this injury will be something that he can bounce back from quickly, as no one wants to see him miss time or jeopardize his long-term health.
