In Week 11, the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs lost their first game of the 2024 NFL regular season, with Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills getting the best of Patrick Mahomes and company at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York.
Heading into Week 12’s matchup, the Chiefs had a great chance to bounce back with a vengeance and get back on track as one of the best teams in the AFC, facing the lowly Carolina Panthers on the road at Bank of America Stadium.
Although the Chiefs were favored to come on top in this game, and understandably so, Kansas City was battling a team that wanted to make a statement against the defending champions, taking them down to the wire.
Ultimately, the Chiefs were able to get in field-goal range and hit the game-winner with time expiring in the fourth quarter to win their 10th game of the season via the NFL’s X account.

With the Chiefs being the dominant force they’ve been since making Mahomes their starting quarterback, Kansas City gets a lot of grief for their success on a weekly basis, which tends to happen to franchises that are successful from year to year.
Fortunately for the Panthers, this was a good sign for the future with Bryce Young under center, as he’s shown some promise over the last few weeks.
