On “Sunday Night Football” in Week 12, the Philadelphia Eagles put on a show against the Los Angeles Rams, with running back Saquon Barkley having arguably the best performance of his NFL career with more than 300 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns.

Although there were a lot of questions about the Eagles coming into the season, Barkley has completely opened things up for their offense, which has had an impact on quarterback Jalen Hurts as well as on head coach Nick Sirianni in Philadelphia.

With Barkley looking like the missing piece to the championship puzzle, there’s a very good chance the Eagles will compete for a Super Bowl title this year.

ESPN analyst Mina Kimes recently compared Barkley coming to Philadelphia to NBA superstar Kevin Durant joining the Golden State Warriors in 2016.

“If you take something that’s already great and then add someone who’s unbelievable, it’s an incredible combination,” Kimes said, via NFL on ESPN.

Though Barkley might not be as high profile or as big a star as Durant, his impact seems similar in the fact he has made a good team that much better.

Durant went on to win back-to-back titles with the Warriors before leaving the Bay Area, and it remains to be seen if Barkley can do the same for Philadelphia during his time with the Eagles.
