Whenever someone hears the name Gordon Ramsay, words like grumpy, cold, and stickler come to mind. That was the persona that many attributed to the British chef (courtesy Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares). But a blast from the past might change that.
Back in 2010, Gordon Ramsay decided to go on an episode of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. And a clip from the talk show has brought to light his other side – gregarious and very touchy. He is catching a lot of flak for that.

Sofia Vergara needs no introduction. The actress, who holds the record for the highest paid woman on US television, has become a household name. So when she appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno back in 2010, it wasn’t really a surprise that the episode would attract a lot of people’s attention.
That wasn’t the only time it caught the public’s eye though. Almost a decade later, a clip from the episode has resurfaced, giving fans an uncanny reminder about a fact that no one touched upon back in the day.
In conversation with Jay Leno, alongside the Modern Family star was none other than Gordon Ramsay, a man who has inspired many a chef’s nightmares. In the clip that began to gain traction in the immediate aftermath of the #MeToo movement, the 58-year-old could be seen trying to get close to Vergara on countless occasions.
Ramsay tried to look for reasons to touch the Colombian-American actress time and again on the show, forcing her to stop him from touching her at one point. All for naught. While his physical overtures were extremely excruciating to watch, his comments were unacceptable as well.
Sofia Vergara’s poise saved Gordon Ramsay from biting the dust for his intolerable behavior
In the course of the episode, the conversation turned to Sofia Vergara’s high pitched voice, an element that had been fairly exploited in shows she was a part of. Clarifying that it wasn’t usual for her, she said,
I never scream like that in real life.
To this statement, Ramsay replied,
Only in the bedroom.
The Chef star tried her best to maintain a poised look. As anyone could see for themselves, she maintained a fair distance from the chef, sitting on the edge of the sofa. But in spite of her best efforts, he crossed the boundary time and again.
At one point, things got so out of hand that the Chef star had to shout at the top of her voice,

Fans were left shocked at the renowned chef’s behaviour. When the #MeToo movement was gaining pace around the world, the clip resurfaced on the net, reminding fans about Gordon Ramsay’s horrid behavior. And people were angry.

I’d like to point out half of the people that think that Gordon was in the right or did nothing wrong are white . But anyways , she didn’t enjoy it , and if that dude was professional you know not to touch a woman or say the things he did .

The Love’s Kitchen star has managed to avoid getting embroiled in any career-ending controversy over the clip. And the only reason he managed to do that was the character and poise Vergara had shown during the entirety of the episode. Things could have been rather different had that not been the case.
