Where the taois has no name: Simon Harris shares picture with U2 guitarist The Edge

Stuck in a moment you can’t get out of: Taoiseach Simon Harris and The Edge, U2’s guitarist, in Dublin

Taoiseach Simon Harris shared a picture of his meeting with The Edge last night at a conference on sustainability in Dublin.

Sharing the photo on social media, Mr. Harris said: “Good to meet The Edge last night in Dublin. He and U2 have really done inspiring work with Music Generation Ireland – bringing opportunities to so many children and communities. Eager to help do even more in this area.”

The two were pictured at a conference on sustainability organised by venture capital firm Venture Wave Capital, where former taoiseach Enda Kenny is chair of its global advisory council.

The Edge, born David Howell Evans on August 8, 1961, is the lead guitarist and one of the founding members of U2.

Sharing the picture on X, Cllr Geoghegan said: “I was delighted this afternoon to welcome attendees to their conference on sustainability.”

“It gave me the unique opportunity to meet two rockstars, a political, and a real one, Former US. Secretary of State John Kerry is currently the Special Presidential Envoy for Climate,” he added.
