An American man, who’s mom was born and raised in Listowel before moving to New York in the mid 80’s, said that he is “preparing for the worst” after he chose to evacuate his home in the Tampa Bay area in Florida as Hurricane Milton comes bearing down on the already beleaguered U.S state.
Seán Stephens spoke to The Kerryman on Wednesday morning from a friend’s house in Georgia where he was staying after he and wife decided to heed the warnings of experts about the monstrous category five storm Hurricane Milton that has has shocked experts with how quickly it has intensified.
