Players’ representative body swayed by GAA on basis of exceptional circumstances
The Gaelic Players Association have raised “red flags” with the GAA over elements around the staging of an interprovincial series in Croke Park this weekend to road-test the playing rule enhancements conceived by the Football Review Committee (FRC).
GPA chief executive Tom Parsons acknowledged that a Friday game at 6pm, requiring some players to take half-days or even a full day off work, was a “significant concern”. The series is invitational.
