A cyclist in his 60s has been seriously injured after a road incident in Co Kerry overnight.
Emergency services were alerted at approximately 12.45am on Sunday after the cyclist was found unresponsive on the roadside at Bracker O’Regan Road in Tralee, Co Kerry.
The man was riding an electric bike at the time of the incident.
He received treatment at the scene and was later transported by ambulance to the University Hospital Kerry, where his injuries are understood to be serious.
A technical examination of the scene has been carried out and the road has since reopened to traffic.
Gardaà are now appealing to anyone who witnesses the incident to contact them.
They are also seeking any camera footage, including dashcam video from those traveling in the area at the time, to assist with the investigation.
