Misha Collins is one of the actors who has been the face of Supernatural, just as much as the two leads of the series have been. It is difficult to imagine a show without Collins in it, given that the character essentially serves as a third protagonist in the story.
Misha Collins revealed that he did not go into the show expecting it to become a full-time gig, but it ended up becoming one of the roles that came to define the actor’s filmography. Speaking with TV Line, the actor revealed what he actually thought the show was.
Misha Collins thought that his part was just another guest spot in the show
Speaking with TV Line, Misha Collins talked about how he was not aware of the show before he joined, and how he considered the role to be the simple guest spot. Never did the actor think that he would become a regular on the show. He said:
Given that this would be the first introduction of angels into the show, it would blow the mythology of the series wide open, which would change not only the mythology of the show but also what was possible. Eric Kripke has always been a champion of not having fixed mythology in his series, which allowed him to expand the show as he saw fit.
Misha Collins felt very welcomed on the set of Supernatural
Misha Collins revealed that there was a thing that the crew of Supernatural did for every guest star that came on the show.
