There was a time, not too long ago, when award-winning playwright and screenwriter Enda Walsh considered calling it quits.
“I had just done two theatre pieces,” Walsh recalls, from his home office in Kilburn, London. “I finished this play, Medicine, that toured quite a bit – but it was at the end of the pandemic, and it was all a bit sort of ropey around then. So, I did that, and then straight away I did an opera [The Third Child], with Donnacha Dennehy.
