Dodger Stadium begins to buzz, ready for LA World Series celebration – Daily News

Dodger Stadium was sitting sitting pretty in the morning light Friday, Nov. 1, in preparation of a celebration of the L.A. Dodgers’ World Series win.

The victory parade will weave its way through Downtown L.A. and will culminate in a “special ticketed celebration” at the stadium, just after noon, featuring entertainment.

Inside the stadium in the early morning, things looked ready for the in-stadium celebration. A stage was set up just behind second base, with a walkway set up stretching from the centerfield fence to the stage. And the DodgerVision scoreboards were gleaming in the morning sun.

Coverage of the parade will be shown on on those scoreboards, preceding the arrival of the team.

Things were starting to buzz early, as gates were opening.

Dodger officials said a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, “which is tackling the most pressing problems facing Los Angeles with a mission to improve education, health care, homelessness and social justice for all Angelenos.”

Metro will operate its Dodger Express to take people to Dodger Stadium for the ticketed celebration.

Information is at metro.net/riding/dodger-stadium-express. The Dodgers noted that “due to logistics, traffic and timing, fans will not be able to attend both events (the parade and the stadium celebration).”
