A brush fire was burning Monday afternoon in the San Bernardino National Forest south of Banning.
The fire, known as the Wolf fire, was reported around 3:40 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, near Wolfskill Truck Trail and Old Idyllwild Road in Riverside County, according to a post by the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department on X.
The fire expanded to 25 acres by around 5:11 p.m., according to Cal Fire/Riverside.
“Firefighters are making good progress and will remain on scene, working to contain the fire,” the agency said on X.
The cause of the fire was under investigation and no evacuations or injuries were reported as of early Monday evening.
