‘I spent a month on the sex-positive dating app Pure – here’s what I discovered’

While online platforms such as Tinder and Hinge aren’t always known for long-term romance, Pure puts sexuality at the forefront with frisky nicknames, hidden faces and openness about kinks

My name is Alluring Minx. It’s not a moniker I would usually brand myself with but alas, here we are. I feel something like Repelling Aura would have suited me more, however, this particular situation was out of my control.

I’m chatting to a man called Knowledgeable Poisedon. He seems nice. He lives in Dublin, has a business and plays rugby. His profile says he’s looking for NSA/FWB which in the dating app world means ‘no strings attached’ and ‘friends with benefits.’ He sends me a heart. We have a brief conversation and on first impression, he seems normal enough, although I’m hesitant to go any further with this stranger.
