The Miami Dolphins were viewed as a dark horse in the AFC heading into the season.
Their offense was potent when healthy last year, and their defense has several top-tier players.
While they appear to be a great team on paper, the Dolphins have been inconsistent in practice, currently holding a 3-6 record.
Much of that inconsistency is regarding Tua Tagovailoa’s health, who missed several weeks due to concerns about concussions.
Even with Tagovailoa back, the Dolphins haven’t been able to recapture the magic they found last season, as this team doesn’t feel like they have a 70-point ceiling, a mark they achieved in a game last year.
Teams like the Dolphins are always looking for more depth, perhaps finding players who can provide an instant spark to their roster.
With that in mind, they recently worked out three players, as Aaron Wilson highlighted on X.

Wilson said that they worked out Jack Heflin, Nick Thurman, and Jerrod Clark.
All three of these players are defensive tackles, potentially adding depth to a position that seems to experience a lot of injuries.
While none of them are likely to start for the Dolphins right away, they could be valuable depth pieces for them moving forward.
At this point in the year, it might be difficult for the Dolphins to make a playoff push.
They’re already effectively eliminated from a chance to win the division seeing how far the Buffalo Bills are ahead of them.
This team might already have their eyes on the future, potentially looking to the 2025 campaign as a new chance to compete.
