As the countdown to Christmas is on, RTÉ’s Toy Show is coming back at the start of next month.
The show has invited the “big kids” around the country to try their luck at being part of the fun and joining the studio audience by entering the Toy Show ticket lottery.
Those interested need to fill out a questionnaire, and as part of the application, they will be asked to share their favourite Christmas song.
The applicants are reminded these golden tickets are non-transferrable and that they must be available on Friday, December 6, when the Toy Show airs.
The Late Late Show host Patrick Kielty said: “It’s that special time of the year where I become weirdly popular with family, friends and complete strangers.”
“And yet they all just want to ask me the same question: ‘Any chance of an aul ticket for the Toy Show?’ “Well, sadly I don’t have any and can’t get any but here’s how you could be joining me for the biggest night of the year on December 6.
“Remember, Toy Show dreams do come true but you gotta be in it to win it. So be quick. And be lucky!” he added.
As demand for tickets exceeds supply each year, they will be allocated by random selection to give everyone who applies a fair chance at being in the audience.
Successful applicants will be contacted the week before the Toy Show and are asked not to miss the call.
The application can be found on RTÉ’s website.
