The No. 9 ranked University of North Carolina Tar Heels will play No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks this Friday night in an NCAAB week 1 showdown. The early-season match-up is the first game between the Jayhawks and Tar Heels since the 2022 national championship where Kansas defeated UNC 72-69. Both teams have started off strong this season: Kansas defeated Howard University 87-57 during their season opener earlier this week, while UNC beat Elon 90-76.
