The Kansas City Chiefs have had a stronghold on the AFC West for almost a decade.
Assuming their current lead holds, the Chiefs are slated to win the division for the ninth-straight time, which pre-dates Patrick Mahomes.
Other teams within the division have made the playoffs during these eight years, but only as a wild card.
Mahomes is the talk of the town, which can often leave other AFC West teams behind, getting less media coverage.
Chase Daniel spoke about this in a recent appearance on “The Facility” on FS1, indicating that some players, including Justin Herbert, aren’t getting enough attention.
Daniel indicated that he trusts Herbert more than Joe Burrow, saying,
“You look at what Justin Herbert is doing, with the skill guys that he has. I like Josh Palmer, Josh Palmer’s a good No. 3 receiver. Quentin Johnston, I got it, starting to come on… What Justin’s been doing with a lack of skill players on his team right now needs to be talked about more.”
Justin Herbert is not getting enough credit for the season he’s having!
No QB this year is doing more with less! Dude’s been VERY impressive. #BoltUp pic.twitter.com/8bw0bxNmYD

Daniel is a major advocate for Herbert to be discussed more in everyday media, and it might have to do with the fact that they were teammates in Los Angeles.
Daniel could have a point, especially considering the competition he faces within the division.
The Chiefs aren’t an easy out, and with a skill-position group that leaves something to be desired, Herbert is doing the best he can with the weapons at his disposal.
Daniel believes he shouldn’t be publically penalized for the people around him.
