The Great Fairy, the oldest of the four sisters, is a vital part of a playthrough given her ability to strengthen already powerful equipment. Her design is instantly iconic, so it stands to reason that talented players would want to bring her to life.

Posing in a mysterious forest or surrounded by a swirling waterfall, the cosplay stands out for its remarkable attention to detail and precision artistry. The build is so good that commenter Swimming-Koala-3122 noted that it’s the best Great Fairy cosplay they’ve ever seen, a sentiment shared by user mrboat-man who stated that they’ve never seen a Legend of Zelda cosplayer look closer to their subject, demonstrating how impressed the community is with the character’s depiction.

While tavern-wench-cosplay is in the process of gathering up additional cosplayers to bring all four of the Great Fairies to life, it’s good to remember Tera’s sheer power. Found in the southwest corner of the Gerudo Desert, she can be a pain to discover since it requires Link to trek across a perilous desert filled with an assortment of enemies while also avoiding the blistering heat. The upside is once she’s eventually found, Tera can upgrade players’ gear, ensuring that they’re more than ready to take down Ganon and save Hyrule.
Great Fairy Tera has some unique traits that help her stand apart from her sisters, all of whom are very similar in terms of their mannerisms and attitudes. Likely because of where she’s located, Tera is known to occasionally greet Link in Gerudo and will often inform him of what she gets up when she’s underwater. She also attempts to convince him that she can read minds, a conversation that results in a humorous moment when she figures out what players are actually thinking.
Great Fairies are a staple of the Legend of Zelda franchise but none have been more iconic than the four sisters present in Breath of the Wild. Their larger-than-life personalities and magical abilities make them both a joy to discover and a vital progression point that can make some of the game’s most difficult challenges easier. One can only hope that tavern-wench-cosplay is eventually able to assemble a complete group of Great Fairies.
