NSW Police arrest two more inmates over disturbing child sex abuse ring

Two more inmates have been arrested for their alleged involved in a sick prison child abuse ring.

Sex Crimes Squad detectives with the NSW Police arrested a 56-year-old man at the Junee correctional facility on August 15, and then a 28-year-old man on Tuesday, as part of investigations with Strike Force Edits.

The strike force is investigating the alleged production and distribution of child sex abuse material in NSW correctional facilities, and the police have charged the two men with possessing, disseminating and producing child abuse material and participating in a criminal group.

The 56-year-old man will appear at Wagga Wagga Local Court on October 30, and the 28-year-old man will appear at the court on November 6.

The investigation at the facility centres around a group of inmates allegedly calling themselves “The Pack”.

“During the investigation, strike force detectives identified a group of inmates allegedly calling themselves ‘The Pack’,” the police said.

The police allege The Pack of alleged pedophiles shared letters among themselves detailing the sexual abuse of children and their plans to offend against children in the future.

Detectives charged a 31-year-old transgender inmate in August 2024 with allegedly directing the group.

The inmate remains before the court.

Investigations under Strike Force Edits continue, the police said.
