HEREFORD Pegasus Ladies took a break from league action to book their place in the semi-finals of the Herefordshire FA Women’s County Cup following a 6-0 win over Penybont United.
The hosts broke the deadlock after five minutes when Harriet Adams ran on to a well-timed through ball before beating goalkeeper Katie Christopher.
The hosts had to wait until the 33rd minute to double their lead when Adams turned provider for Chloe Wiggill.
The advantage was extended four minutes after the break when Kaye Haggett’s fierce 25-yard drive found the back of the net via the underside of the crossbar.
Pegasus netted a fourth goal through Emily Morgan after a 55th minute corner was partially cleared into her path.
The home team increased their lead 20 minutes later when Adams netted her second goal of the afternoon.
The scoring was completed three minutes later when Roxy Dinescu was on hand to finish from close-range past Christopher.
Holders Hereford FC booked their place in the last-four of the competition following a 2-0 victory over Midwest Counties League rivals Ross Juniors Women.
Sheree Smith and Amelia Griffiths netted the goals during the first half at the County Ground. Meanwhile, Belmont Wanderers progressed through their delayed first round tie after overcoming league rivals Tenbury United 12-0 on home turf.
Westfields were beaten 3-0 at high flying Royal Wootton Bassett Town in the Hellenic Premier
Without the suspended trio of Dan Stoneman, Cawley Cox and Cam Davies they failed to break down a well organised side.
Brandon Jennings had a powerful header cleared off the Bassett goal-line early on before the hosts took charge.
Meanwhile, Hereford Pegasus were beaten 2-0 at Highworth Town.
