Wednesday’s winner, who has now taken the title of 7th Lotto jackpot winner of 2024, has made contact with the National Lottery and arrangements are now being made for them to claim their life-changing prize.

The winner, who purchased their ticket in Co Limerick, won the draw for which the winning numbers were 1, 7, 17, 20, 22, 31 and the bonus of 35.

Alongside the life-changing sum of €5.5m, a player in Galway won €250,000 in the Gold Lotto Plus 2 draw after purchasing it on the day of the draw at SuperValu, Loughrea Shopping Centre.

“What an incredible night for Limerick and Galway players, with two life-changing wins,” said National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Ruane.

“We now have a Limerick player who’s €5.5 million richer, claiming the title of the 26th National Lottery millionaire so far this year, and a Galway player securing a fantastic €250,000 prize.

The National Lottery is advising all Lotto players in Limerick and Galway who bought tickets for the Lotto and Lotto Plus 2 draws on Wednesday night to carefully inspect them.
