The NBA has changed a lot throughout the years.

Not only has the style of play changed, but the way players think about their teams has shifted.

For instance, in the days of Michael Jordan, it was common for players to suit up for one team for their entire career, if not for the vast majority of their career.

Fast forward to today, and much has changed in that respect.

Star players seem to be able to pick and choose where they want to go, and what other players they want to team up with.

This isn’t necessarily the case for every star player, but many marquee athletes over the past several seasons have requested, or demanded trades, hoping to play with a team that they believe gives them a better chance at a championship.

While these types of team changes have been made by many players, Iman Shumpert believes he can pinpoint one person who was the catalyst of this trend.

“The person who ruined all of this was ‘Bron,” Shumpert said on “The Big Podcast”, adding, “When ‘Bron made it okay for people to team up, it stopped making the star player come back with something added to their game.”

Shumpert is under the impression that, because LeBron James is so influential to his peers, once he left the Cleveland Cavaliers to form the Big Three in Miami, all bets were off.

After that happened, others recognized that they had more power than they recognized, and took advantage of it to better their careers with new teams.
