Iman Shumpert performed for multiple teams across the NBA during his ten years playing professional basketball.
He was lucky enough to start his career with the New York Knicks and fondly remembers his time playing for that team.
Speaking on “The Big Podcast”, Shumpert spoke about what being a Knick is like.
He said the entire city supports Knicks stars and will bend over backward to make their lives easy.
From letting him cut in line to requesting the TSA allow him to pass through security quickly, the city of New York does a lot for New York Knicks stars.

Host Shaquille O’Neal said he could relate to that sort of treatment because that is what he got when he played for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Shumpert spent four seasons with the Knicks, averaging 7.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game.
Following his time there, he then went to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets, and finally the Brooklyn Nets.
Shumpert left the league with a career average of 7.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists.
The city of New York has always had a vocal and strong fanbase.
They will let the team know when they are happy, and also when they are upset.
The intensity and personality of the fanbase is one of the things that makes the Knicks so special.
Shumpert remembers what it’s like to play for the city and it’s clear that not much has changed in the years since his time with that team.
The Knicks have a totally different roster but the fans remain the same.
