Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Seized To-Do List Included Telling Family to ‘Find Dirt’ on 2 ‘Victims’

Hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs resides in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn following his September 2024 arrest. In May 2025, Combs will take the stand and defend himself against the charges against him. These include racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Combs had notes in his cell that were illegally confiscated in November 2024. Here’s what Combs allegedly had written in his notes.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ notes said he wanted a family member to ‘find dirt’ on ‘victims’

Sean “Diddy” Combs is doing everything he can to prove his innocence following the Homeland Security raids on his two properties in March 2024. In September 2024, federal agents arrested Combs on charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. Since his arrest, Combs has been hit with several other civil lawsuits. Many men and women who attended Combs’ parties or worked closely with him alleged that Combs drugged and sexually assaulted them.

In November 2024, assistant U.S. Attorney Christy Slavik said prosecutors obtained 19 pages of Combs’ personal notes during a planned sweep of the MDC’s jail cells. The sweep, conducted by the Bureau of Prisons, was to address contraband and drugs. According to Slavik, Combs’ notes included how he wanted to find dirt on “victims” and pay off witnesses.

Combs’ defense called seizing the papers an “egregious, willful, and harmful breach of the attorney-client privilege,” according to NBC News.

“A witness was paid off, and finding dirt on two different victims is not privilege,” Slavik responded. Slavik also noted that Combs called a family member to involve someone who’s not a lawyer in finding out information on a victim.

According to DailyMail.com, Combs’ notes included pages of inspirational quotes written to himself.

Sean “Diddy” Combs is relying on his family to help him while he’s behind bars. According to DailyMail.com, prosecutors from the Southern District of New York claimed Combs “continues his efforts to obstruct justice.” This includes using his family to “plan and execute a social media campaign” to help influence “the potential jury in his criminal proceedings.”

Combs’ son, Justin, posted a video showing all six of his siblings gathered around a phone to celebrate their father’s birthday. Combs’ baby daughter sang “Happy Birthday” to the phone while the rest of the family listened by a cake. At the end of the song, Combs’ voice could be heard. He thanked his family for the call and stated how much he loved them.

“At the defendant’s carefully curated direction, the defendant’s children posted a video to their respective social media accounts showing the defendant’s children gathered to celebrate the defendant’s birthday,” the prosecutors stated. They added that Combs “monitored the analytics” and “explicitly discussed with his family how to ensure that the video had his desired effect on potential jury members in this case.”

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ family supports him while he’s in jail

On Oct. 22, 2024, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ adopted son, Quincy Brown, posted a statement to Instagram from all of Combs’ kids. The statement included a photo of the family posing together before their father was jailed.

“The past month has devastated our family,” Brown wrote. “Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories, and false narratives that have spiraled into absurdity on social media. We stand united, supporting you every step of the way. We hold onto the truth, knowing it will prevail, and nothing will break the strength of our family.”

Combs’ family has remained united in their support for him and likely will continue to post on their father’s behalf.
